Sérénité (Serenity)

Sérénité (Serenity) invites us to pause and appreciate what the present moment offers. Warm colours, translucent layers and diffused light create a space where the eye can rest. A sense of softness emerges, leaving room for contemplation and, perhaps, a quiet nostalgia.

Flowing traces of paint soften the contours, while darker areas anchor this luminous space. Each viewer may imagine a forest, a cliff shrouded in mist or a glimpse of sunlight through the rain.

The Immensité intérieure (Inner Vastness) series draws inspiration from a journey through the Rocky Mountains in 2009. The feeling of being within these mountains, surrounded by their contours and by mist that conceals and reveals them, inspired a reflection on the vastness each of us carries within. These landscapes become a way to explore emotions, love, compassion, desires and courage, along with the capacity to flourish and discover new possibilities within ourselves.

Within the Gratitude collection, this exploration is guided by the intention to live fully in the present moment. Each gesture, each breath contributes to the creative process, bringing inner impulse into dialogue with what the materials allow. Water carries the colour, while turning the canvas guides its flow and allows delicate translucent layers to emerge. Through this process, a space takes shape where the eye can rest and each person can welcome what they hold within.
