Jeux vaporeux (Misty Play)
Jeux vaporeux (Misty Play)
In Jeux vaporeux (Misty Play), shapes and colours seem to play at appearing and disappearing. They drift through a misty atmosphere, meeting, hiding, then dissolving, as though the composition were in constant motion.
One form suggests a hollow, another may evoke a tree trunk or a passage, yet nothing ever becomes entirely defined. The eye is free to discover its own landscapes and follow the paths that emerge between areas of light, shadowy depths, and this profusion of colour.
Depending on its orientation, the work transforms: masses shift in balance, new forms emerge while others seem to fade away. Jeux vaporeux thus becomes a space to explore, where each new gaze can reveal a different reading.
