Éclats de vie (Bursts of Life)

Éclats de vie (Bursts of Life) celebrates the emergence of life in all its freedom, unpredictability, and abundance. From a vibrant core, forms and colours spread outward like an energy seeking to fill the entire space.

Splashes of water, waves, and tropical vegetation seem to mingle within a world where everything remains in transformation. White passages flow through the composition like foam, waterfalls, or currents, while blues, greens, yellows, and oranges bring warmth and coolness into dialogue. Browns and greys create more mysterious depths, answered here and there by touches of gold and areas of glossy paint.

The artwork can be displayed in four orientations. A central figure may evoke a mammal, a mermaid, a tree trunk, or a form carried by movement. In the vertical orientations, this presence seems to rise within the composition; horizontally, it appears to move through a current, a wave, or tropical vegetation. Depending on the viewer’s gaze, the work may lead us underwater or into the heart of a forest. Each rotation changes the very nature of what we believe we recognize.

Through its instinctive gestures, still-raw lines, and generous movement, Éclats de vie invites us into a world where different forms of life meet, transform, and give rise to new stories.
