Arbre soleil (Sun Tree)

Arbre soleil (Sun Tree) grew out of the presence of a tree, between earth immersed in shadow and a sky bathed in light. Its trunk rises from the deeper masses of the composition towards a broad luminous area where the forms seem to break free.

Around it, the brushwork takes flight. A halo forms, crossed by shifting shapes that may suggest a swirl of birds, branches or simply fragments moving freely. These emerging forms and the images they stirred guided the painting, without any attempt to define them.

The contrast between the dark depth of the ground and the warm light surrounding the tree holds a particular significance for the artist. The work still brings a smile, with its sense of light, vitality and deep reassurance.

Arbre soleil belongs to the Concave & Convex collection, where forms, curves and the transitions between depth and openness become spaces for exploration and imagination.

The artwork is displayed in one orientation. The signature is discreetly placed to preserve the composition.
