ARBOR
ARBOR
In ARBOR, a vertical red form asserts itself as an axis at the heart of the composition. It may evoke a tree trunk, a column, or simply a presence, while two luminous forms appear on either side, like an echo.
The simplicity of the composition becomes a space for exploring colour. Deep reds, oranges, blues, turquoises, and yellows meet in diffuse transitions, creating vibrant light and a sense of depth.
Displayed in the opposite orientation, the work transforms our perception of the space: the red form seems to descend rather than rise, while the two luminous areas become almost like openings on either side of a central mass.
ARBOR is part of the Concave & Convex collection, born from a desire to explore the complexity of colour through deliberately simple forms and gestures.
The work can be displayed in two orientations, each offering a different reading of the composition.
