À contrejour (Backlit)
À contrejour (Backlit)
A dark form emerges in the foreground. It may suggest a column, a passage, perhaps the presence of a tree trunk, while light seems to emerge from behind it. The contours dissolve into a misty atmosphere where greens, ochres, and reds meet and vibrate.
Presented in two orientations, the work allows perception to shift. The form takes on a different presence, becoming in turn a passage or an opening toward the light.
Backlit is part of the Concave & Convex collection, born from a desire to explore the complexity of colour through deliberately simple forms and gestures.
